About this deal

When you want to move an erected tower, reduce the height to at least 4m first. Look out for power cable and other obstructions overhead. Holding on to the base, push or pull the tower manually to move it across a flat surface. Do not move a tower if anyone or anything is on the platform. Fully compatible with SGB BoSS Towers – If you have used these towers, or hired from larger hire companies, this is what our towers are compatible to. The standards for towers set out the design rules manufacturers should follow, such as the critical safety features which must be included, the performance requirements and the essential dimensions.

The maximum distance between platform heights should not exceed 2.25m, and the total height to the first platform should not exceed 3.4m. Towers for sale or hire in the UK are covered by either BS EN 1004 or BS 1139-6. Which standard applies depends on the type of tower. Lift Shaft Towers These towers are highly versatile and allow any lift engineer to work safely on a strong platform at any height. Like ladders, scaffolding towers enable workers to access high places. But a scaffold tower is more stable than a ladder, and the spacious work platform gives you more room to move about and put down tools that you're not currently using. This means you can work comfortably all day long! The “First” range of aluminium scaffold towers is perfect for the DIY enthusiast offering a safer, more comfortable way to work at height than a conventional ladder. It is advised that you do not climb on the outside of any scaffold tower as this could cause it to tip and fall over. Also, never climb on the horizontal or diagonal braces. Please follow the safety tips in the product manual. A competent PASMA-certified person should assemble and dismantle the tower and perform inspections before every use.

They are compact enough to use safely in tighter spaces. Trade Folding Towers Small compact foldable unit, for ease of mobility, transport and storage. Fits into most small vans. Scaffold towers eliminate the risk of slipping, which can happen with ladders; this is due to them being a free-standing structure.

Scaffold towers boast large, slip-resistant work platforms that can support multiple workers at once. The GDA500 single width scaffold towers are part of our industrial range of mobile access solutions.

In general, aluminium and steel have historically been the materials of choice for scaffold towers, fibre glass has also become an option for Zone 1 requirements, but an aluminium scaffold tower has generally been accepted to be the lightest, most practical and durable form of scaffolding tower in recent years. Towers made from either of these metals are sound and reliable. For work around electrical sources, however, glass fibre towers should be used, since they will not conduct an electric current the way steel and aluminium do. If cost is a consideration, then steel is the better choice, since it's less expensive than aluminium. When buying scaffold towers, though, it's important to consider the application carefully. Regardless of what material you choose, be sure that it conforms with the BS EN1004 standard. If the tower comes from another country, be sure it carries a comparable rating. If the tower comes from Germany, for example, it should have a TUV mark.Scaffold towers are freestanding and self-supporting, so they don't need to lean against a wall or building. Scaffold towers, sometimes referred to as access towers or a tower scaffold, are highly useful alternatives to ladders when there's a lot of work to be done at height. Safe working load of 275kg per platform level up to a maximum of 950kg per tower (including self-weight). Inferior Imports Vary From 125kg – 200kg, but Never To the Current Standard.
